Frequently asked questions

You can book online up to one hour before the appointment start time, same-day appointments are sometimes available, ​ we recommend booking in advance. Alternatively, phone or message 0411 490 760 with your full name, a contact phone number, email, and your preferred dates and times, and the type of treatment you would like to book, and will contact you at our earliest convenience when we are not treating a client.

Yes, there is street parking available.

Please bring any GP, Specialist or Allied Health Professional referral/clearance correspondence with you, your private health fund card for remedial massage treatments. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing

Drink plenty of filtered water after your treatment and average 2 litres per day to assist with flushing toxins through the body’s systems.

Avoid strenuous exercise, walking for 30 minutes afterwards will be beneficial

Avoid caffeine, sugar and alcohol these can affect your nervous system and inflame your troubled areas leaving you in more pain.

If you feel sleepy afterwards you should relax and take a nap if you can.

Use Heat packs or ice packs if necessary for areas that may have been treated for a painful condition.

Yes! Earthed Therapies is an approved health fund provider for Remedial Massage Treatments with Health fund rebates are available for all the major funds. Please contact your provider if you are covered for remedial treatments and the rebate available to you.

For cancellations, please call us directly at 0411 490760. as soon as possible. Cancellations without 24 hours’ notice may result in a charge for your session, as that time has been set aside specifically for you.

It is important for you to fully complete your Health History Form at your initial consultation and keep your therapist up to date on your condition and any changes to health and medications, at all future appointments.  Not all types of massage are appropriate for all conditions.

  • Any acute injury from a recent accident such as whiplash, sprains, or other soft tissue damage. 
  • Swelling or oedema.
  • Acute conditions such as flared-up psoriasis, eczema, or rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, prominent varicose veins, osteoporosis, or any other serious medical conditions. 

​​Even some prescribed or over-the-counter medications can contraindicate receiving certain types of massage therapy.  Be sure to list any medications you are taking and inform your therapist of any changes since your last visit. In some cases, your massage therapist may request your physician’s consent and recommendations before performing massage.
